German engineers and machinists have been held in high regard for a long time. Their innovation and attention to detail have brought about some of the centuries greatest technological achievements. Though I don't know that a fishing reel would be considered noteworthy in the grand scheme of things, the Vosseler S certainly should certainly be noted among anglers looking to upgrade to a high performance machined reel.
I have been fishing my Vosseler S for many years now and though having been dropped on the hard basalt of the North Umpqua and the volcanic sediment of the Klickitat, it is still holding up and functions like new with only an occasional cleaning and it's even caught a few steelhead.
The Vosseler S is available in 3 sizes ranging from the S1, which is a 7-8 reel perfect for Bonefish or single hand Steelhead to the S3; Suitable for Tarpon and two-handed applications. All sizes of the Vosseler S have a smooth drag with no start up hesitation.. It is easily convertible from left to right hand. It's full frame construction and extensive porting give the reel the reel both rigidity and light weight. Detents in the Vosseler S's drag settings ensure that the drag stays where you set it.
If you are looking for a high quality machined reel for larger game fish or just want to upgrade to a nicer piece of equipment that will last for years look no further than the Vosseler .
