The Cheeky Boost is an amazing reel for the price point and holds up to the higher priced reels on the market. Cheeky is a smaller company but produces quality products and the Boost Reel is just one of the amazing products they make!
The reel was strong yet delicate when hooking up, and fighting fish. I was using it with a 9 ft 7 wt St. Croix Bank Robber and found that the reel does almost all the work for you. With the larger "MAX" arbor it reels in more line per turn, and gets your fish in quickly and efficiently so you can get to catching more fish! The reel balanced perfect on that 7 wt, and made for an amazing anchor point to throw those bigger bass poppers/streamers. The reel weighs in at 7 ounces.
The only thing that caught me off guard is the silent retrieve, all my other reels make noise when reeling in, so it took me some time to get use to the silent retrieve, but after catching a few 2.5 pound Bass I quickly forgot about the retrieve.
