Douglas Fly Rods are now available at Big Y Fly Co. We are really excited to see these rods in our shop. Douglas DXF Series
Another award winning rod, this mid-price rod is nicer than some top end rods that I can think of. It has a faster taper than the Sky, but still has the delicacy to place a dry fly where you need it without spooking a wary trout. At $349, it can step up your game without you having to step up your credit limit to get there.
Douglas Upstream Rod
Designed to imitate a bamboo rod without the price tag of a bamboo rod. This thing will deliver the smallest dry fly to the pickiest trout. It has much lighter weight than a bamboo or glass rod with the same action. This is not going to throw a streamer 70', but it will let you master the spring creeks. A beautiful rod with the right action and price tag, plus available 6-piece models make this a great rod for backpacking.
Douglas Upstream Plus
It takes the design of the Upstream and makes it more available to most anglers by adding the uplocking reel seat and including 9'0 models that are more popular for general trout fishing. This is still a dry fly machine, but now it will let you rule those bigger rivers where the shorter Upstream model rods were too small.
