Tom showed us this photo of a big trout he caught in Patagonia using a Beadhead Crystal Bugger. Lots of guys have been heading to South America to catch trout and salmon. Many areas here the fish haven't even seen a fly, making for very exciting days of fishing. Over the years we have added dozen of flies that are specifically designed for fly fishing in South America.
Sam sent us this photo after a steelhead trip to the Clearwater, he caught this guy on a Shake, Rattle, Roe. Jigs are becoming more popular in the fly fishing world and for good reason, they caught fish. Many areas that are good "fly" water usually aren't touched by gear guys, meaning chances are fish aren't used to seeing jigs in that water. Sometimes jigs can be incredibly effective at caughting fish when traditional techniques aren't working. We have an extensive selection of salmon, steelhead, and trout jigs.
Colton has been a long time customer at Big Y and sent these photo in of a Carp he caught on a Conehead Woolly Bugger Rubber Legs. Carp fishing is becoming more poplar, having close genetic makeup to bonefish, these fish are known for there prolonged fights. We have quite a large selection of carp flies, and even some info on how to fish for them.

Many people think when you go bass fishing you need a special rod, special flies, line leader, etc. Not always true. Many smallmouth will readily strike on what you currently have in your box. And while a 6wt rod is probably a tad better for fighting bass, a 5wt rod will mean fish longer making it a bit more fun.
