 | Baited Breath- A great pattern for both bonefish and bream. This pattern does extremely well in estuaries and mangroves.Works best in skinny water, let this pattern sink and then apply subtle twitches for entice fish. Originated in Australia, and where it has been the most successful. Try as a crayfish and/or shrimp imitation and use for any fish that readily eat them. Available is sizes 4 and 6, also in the following colors: black, brown, olive, pink, red, and yellow/brown. |

Cove's Pheasant Tail - Everyone, in mean everyone, has a pheasant tail nymph in a fly box. The Cove’s Pheasant Tail is yet another pattern spawned from the ingenious pheasant tail. Many of you may be familiar with the Sawyer’s Pheasant and it’s productivity in rivers and streams. The Cove’s Pheasant Tail is considered by many as the Sawyer’s Pheasant Tail of lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. It is meant to be a chrinomid imitation, however, we believe it will also work similarly as a pheasant tail emerger. It’s curved hook gives it that emergence and should be fished whenever you see baetis or chrinomids coming off the water. Currently available in sizes 12, 14 and 16.

Dr Tom - A requested pattern from a local fly shop in the Michigan area. This pattern is extremely popular with Great Lakes Steelhead fisherman. Meant to be an egg imitation, fish like an egg pattern using a dead drift technique. Great pattern for when standard glo bougs and sucker spawns aren't working. Any fish targeting eggs should readily key in on these guys. Currently available in size 6 and in colors: Cerise, Chartreuse, Chart/Orange Top, Orange, Orange/Chart Top.

Foam Wing Para Biot Adams -If you’re a fan of a Parachute Adams I don’t think we need to say much to get you excited about this pattern; it’s a Parachute Adams on steroids. A foam post means this pattern isn’t going to sink on you or need a floatant applied to it. The biot wrapped body gives it a more realistic, segmented look. It is sure to make the fish drool. Currently available in sizes 12, 14, and 16.

Glow Wiggler - This pattern came from the shop that suggested the Dr. Toms. Both where local legendary patterns now passed on to Big Y Fly Co. Also extremely popular with Great Lakes Steelhead, particularly in the Michigan area. Unlike the Dr. Tom it is the stonefly nymph profile that attracts both steelehead and trout extremely well. Great for when the ole' Kaufmann Stone isn't doing the trick. Currently available in size 6 and in the following colors: Black, Brown, Cerise, Chartreuse, Orange, Purple, and Tan.

Marabou Clouser Fry -Clousers and marabou Clousers have been around for awhile, typically meant to replicate baitfish and sculpins. A Clouser Fry pattern seemed like a natural transition, marabou is used for a more realistic undulation when in the water. Chain eyes will cause this pattern to sink hook point up, allowing the egg yarn to mimic a egg sac. Currently available in size 6.

Meat Whistler -Extremely popular CO pattern, invented for chasing after bass. Meant to mimic both baitfish and/or crayfish, making it a great pattern anytime of year. Also hugely successful with big browns. Conehead gets the fly down quick, while marabou, rabbit strip, and silicone legs give this pattern tons of movement. Currently available in size 2 and brown.

Minnow Olive/White - A minnow pattern hugely popular with saltwater guys, particularly, Stripers, and Redfish, Tarpon, etc. Olive and white seem to be the most popular and successful color combination. Long leaders are used to entice skittish fish. Also popular with bass and pike anglers looking for a realistic baitfish imitation. Only available in size 2/0.

Redneck Prince-Beadhead - Everyone (especially if you live in a small town) has a redneck friend that they are very found of, regardless if you still keep in touch. This pattern is sure to be like that friend. Like a standard Beadhead Prince Nymph but made using red thread instead of black. The red just behind the bead is where it gets it’s name. The prince nymph is one of the most famous patterns in the fly fishing industry and it is no surprise it has sparked innovation on multiple patterns. This one might just be the trick when fish are sick of seeing the same prince over and over again. Currently available in sizes 12, 14 and 16.

Smidget -Called the most effective fly pattern of all time by Frontier’s Angler in 2013. Of course the designer of this pattern is Tim Tollet, owner of the magazine, so the jury is still out. A foam body allows this pattern to stay on the surface without floatant. Small flies like this always seem to be extremely effective, just match the color of the fly with what is coming out of the water and hold on. Currently available in olive in sizes 14 and 16, tan is sizes 16 and 18, and in cream in size 16 and 18.

Surgeon General - Legendary steelhead pattern on the Deschutes River, extremely popular during the summer steelhead run. Steelhead patterns with the traditional profile seem to do best during the summer months. This traditional looking pattern has a different color combination then others that can make all the difference in the world on a slow day of fishing. Currently available in size 6.

Tarpon Streamer -Great tarpon pattern tied in a classic tarpon color combination. Also great for chasing pike and musky. Use of long leaders help add attention to the fly while keeping the fly line from spooking a fish. Currently available in size 2/0.
