Hot Flies For February

West Coast steelies are being caught from California to Washington popular setups include a dropper consisting of patterns like the Bh Circus Caddis, BH Bird's Nest, and Egg Patterns. Also swinging bright streamer patterns such as Crystal Buggers, Conehead Marabous, or even the BananaRama.

Trout continue their feeding on midges, BWOs, some warmer locales stoneflies are doing the trick along banks and cutouts. Look for seams of faster water. If the midges are taking the day off, San Juan Worms and Glo-Bugs will usually induce a strike or two. And don't forget those streamers, BH Aggravator our favorite this time of year.

It's all about water temperature in the flats around Florida, trout can be had with clousers, as well as reds and blues. In the keys cuda and cobia have returned and are being hooked using crabs and streamers.

Erie steelies need to pick their spots, tailwaters of course provide the most stable fly fishing, with many places like the Muskegon sporting lots of fish.

Warm weather areas find bass fishing heating up as water temperatures begin to rise, streamer patterns like buggers, muddlers, sculpins, zonkers, etc. and our favorite for smallmouths Bananarama.
